Get Answers to Accident Care's Most Common Questions
What should I do if I've been in an auto accident?
After an auto accident, call the police, file an accident report, and make sure you're okay. Call your auto insurance carrier, take pictures, and document how the accident happened. Limit discussion with others at the scene (except the police). Most importantly, get real medical care from providers who know auto accidents. Call Accident Care at (405) 842-3209.
What do I need to bring with me for my first visit?
If you have insurance, bring your card. If you don't have medical insurance, you will still be seen — we're set up to evaluate and care for you without requiring you to pay anything up-front. When you call to book an appointment, we'll explain what you can expect and answer any questions. Call (405) 842-3209.
Will my care involve surgery?
We can't know that without first evaluating you. However, we have a long history of providing comprehensive treatment that gets excellent outcomes without surgery. If surgery is necessary, our doctors will refer you to the appropriate care. But it doesn't happen very often — most auto accident injuries can be treated effectively without surgery.
Do you normally conduct tests at the first visit? What kind?
Yes. The first thing we'll do is evaluate you for injury to determine if, in what way, and to what extent you are injured. We conduct many tests right here — including medical imaging such as CT, X-rays, digital ultrasound, and MRI — for maximum efficiency in diagnosing your injury. If additional tests are needed, we'll order them.
Will I get treatment recommendations during my first visit?
Our aim is to reach an accurate, complete diagnosis and get you into treatment as quickly as possible. We cannot promise that you'll have your treatment recommendation during that first visit, as some testing may not yet be complete. But if we know what's going on and have treatment options in mind, we'll let you know as soon as we can — sometimes that can be during the initial appointment.
What if I don't have the money to get evaluated immediately?
Don't let money stop you from getting evaluated. We don't make you pay up-front out-of-pocket. Just come in and get the care you need. Delaying care can lead to worsening of your injury — and many people run out the clock on insurance coverage by waiting too long. Call us now: (405) 842-3209.
Where will my treatment be performed?
Right here at Accident Care and Treatment Center, at 3209 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City. We have virtually everything that may be needed — therapies, equipment, and medications. If other treatment modalities are needed, we'll help you get the right care so you can get better and get back to your life.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Yes. Walk-ins are always welcome at Accident Care & Treatment Center. We also offer same-day scheduled appointments. Call (405) 842-3209 or just come in.
